With
its pressed tin ceiling and soft
illumination from the converted
gasolier, the entry hall is an inviting
area for guests to sit and visit.
Another
comfortable gathering
place is the den. Guests may choose
from a variety of reading material
about Jefferson, the South and the
War Between the States. This
area also contains a telephone
for guests' use.
In
the music room, an 1875 Steinway
square grand piano holds court. In its
original condition, this elegant
instrument is just waiting for
someone to sit down and play
their favorite selection!
Breakfast
is served in the formal dining
room each morning. Guests dine amid
such mid-nineteenth century antiques
as a Baltimore sideboard and a
William IV dining table.
The
porch offers the ideal setting for
enjoying early morning coffee and the
newspaper before breakfast. It is also
the perfect place to unwind with a soft
drink or glass of wine after a busy day
of shopping and sightseeing.
